Welcome To You!

Science, and all the rest.

For the students & colleagues of Mr. David Knuffke, science teacher at Deer Park High School, Deer Park, NY.

Strangers are welcome here.

For Colleagues

This page exists to point colleagues who may show up here to some of the more "teacher-specific" resources that I have created.  Use any/all as you see fit.

Notes:
  • Resources for use in class are available at the Posterboard links below each subject on the sidebar.
  • If you find any materials on the site useful, perhaps you might think about filling out the google forms listed below.  Your contributions will take almost no time, and help all of your colleagues.
  • If you have anything that you think would be useful if it were posted here, email me and we can set it up.

Google Doc Materials

I use google docs for a lot of the "backend" stuff that goes in to being a functional professional educator.  Here are some links to some of the more pertinent items:

AP Biology

The above link will take you to my AP Biology Google Doc Folder. This folder contains all AP Biology materials that I have created in Google Docs. Many of these documents are available on the AP Biology Posterboard, or other places, but I thought it might be nice to put the entire thing up for teachers to peruse. You only have viewer access, so you can see documents and make copies for your own purposes, but you can't edit my copies of them.  I have spotlighted some of the more useful parts of the folder below:

New Curriculum Planning Materials

A link to the folder where I have put some documents related to the upcoming curriculum changes in the AP Biology course.

List-serve Spreadsheets

I love the AP Biology list-serve, but there tends to be certain topics that come up over and over again.  The spreadsheets in this folder exist as a permanent record of some of the more common queries that are sent out to the list on a semi-regular basis.  The spreadsheets aggregate data that comes from teachers filling in the following forms:
  • Whole Class Demo Form- A few years old.  I wanted to see what sorts of "whole class" demos teachers might do with their students.

Chemistry

The above link will take you to my Chemistry Google Doc Folder. This folder contains all Chemistry materials that I have created in Google Docs. Many of these documents are available on the Chemistry Posterboard, or other places, but I thought it might be nice to put the entire thing up for teachers to peruse. You only have viewer access, so you can see documents and make copies for your own purposes, but you can't edit my copies of them.  Generally speaking, the Chemistry docs are less organized and less extensive than the AP Biology materials (it is not hard to see what my first love is).

"For Teachers"

Last year I wanted to share the unit presentations that I made for AP Bio and Honors Chemistry, so I put them up on a subpage of another website that I created, who's main purpose is something completely different (but still very useful).  You can access all of those materials here:
